Girls on the Run Celebrates 10 Years of Empowering Girls

Richmond, Virginia – Girls on the Run Greater Richmond is thrilled to announce its 10th-anniversary celebration with the upcoming "Limitless Potential" event. The milestone event will take place on October 26, 2023 at Common House. As we commemorate a decade of inspiring and empowering girls, we invite the local community to join us in celebrating the organization's significant impact on the lives of young girls in the Richmond area.

Since its inception a decade ago, Girls on the Run Greater Richmond has been dedicated to creating a more joyful, confident, and empowered generation of girls. The "Limitless Potential" event will celebrate this remarkable journey and set the stage for the organization's future endeavors to continue supporting girls in the community.

Recognized as one of the fastest growing councils in the US this year, Girls on the Run Greater Richmond will serve 800 girls across 50 schools in the City of Richmond, Chesterfield, Henrico, Goochland, Hanover, Petersburg, and Powhatan with over 200 volunteer coaches. Girls on the Run is a fun, evidence-based after-school program that inspires girl empowerment by building confidence, kindness, and decision-making skills. The program culminates at a twice-yearly 5K event that draws over 1,500 attendees. The fall 5K is open to the public and will take place at Bryan Park on Sunday, November 19.
